The Anne Ross Library aims to provide students with a peaceful, inviting, service-oriented environment that is conducive to learning.
In keeping with the missions of our twin Universities, we are dedicted to supporting the curriculum, research and information needs of our students, faculty, and local Caribbean community.
To accomplish this mission, the library provides access to an impressive collection of current multimedia, books, and journals; both in hard copy and electronic formats. In addition to medical and health science materials, the collection holds information resources in the sciences and humanities. The wireless environment on campus extends throughout the library facility and all library desks are laptop ready.
A professional medical librarian and trained library staff are available to teach and guide students with research and information retrieval; encouraging the ongoing development of information literacy skills. A life-long commitment to evidence-based medical practice is fostered in the students through the utilization and promotion of credible information sources, provision of subscription access to extensive online and electronic resources, full text access to medical and nursing journals, as well as instruction in information searching and retrieval skills.
